Barksbar Dog Bed, Product Overview
This dog bed is perfect for all dogs, but is especially good for older dogs with bone, joint or arthritic problems. It contains 4 inches of solid orthopedic foam that will reduce joint pain and increases mobility. It is human grade orthopedic foam that provides deep cushioning and relieves pressure on the joints. The foam will contour to every part of your dog’s body.
There is an extra soft polyester cover that is removable and machine washable on a gentle cycle. You can also spot clean the cover or use a vacuum for removing dog hair.
If your dog likes to sleep curled in a ball, or likes support around him, or likes to drape his head over something when he sleeps, this bed will provide him with that comfort. There is an extra comfy cotton padded rim cushion that contours to your dog’s neck and provides constant support to keep your dog comfortable.
The bottom of the dog bed has a built-in nonslip rubber backing to prevent sliding on wooden and tiled floors, keeping your dog safe when they are getting in and out of their bed.
The large size will hold and support dogs up to 100+ pounds and won’t lose its shape over time.
There are 2 sizes available. The medium size is 32″ x 22″ x 10″ and works for small and medium dogs or multiple smaller dogs. It will support 50+ pounds and will fit dogs up to 26″ in length. The inner dimensions are 26″ x 16″.
The large size is 40″ x 30″ x 10″ and works for larger dogs up to 36″ in length or multiple smaller dogs. The inner dimensions of sleeping space is 36″ x 24″.
Comes in gray only.
One year warranty is included.
The Good And The Bad
Pro #1: Orthopedic Foam To Support Joints and Bones
Pro #2: Machine Washable
Pro #3: Side Support For Back Or Chins
Con #1: Is Not Waterproof. If you have a dog that could have an accident, I recommend cutting a waterproof mattress protector and putting it under the cover to protect the foam from accidents.
Con #2: Large dogs that like to spread out when sleeping might not like this bed.
This will allow you to choose either the medium size or large size.
Who Is The Barksbar Dog Bed For?
This dog bed is perfect for all dogs, but dogs that would really benefit from this bed are older dogs who have joint pain, or arthritic problems. The orthopedic foam will provide your dog with the support that they need, but the foam is also soft enough to contour your dog’s entire body. Giving your dog support on their entire body.
The Barksbar dog bed is also a great bed for dogs that like to drape the head over things. It always makes me laugh when my dog sits with me and drapes his head over me like I am a pillow for him. This bed will provide your dog with his own pillow to drape over.
Dogs that like to snuggle in a ball when they sleep, or like having support behind their back will feel comfy and cozy in this dog bed. With the higher sides going around your dog, they will feel more secure having the bed go around them. Do you have a nester? Does he come to bed and scratch at the covers until he has them all bunched up around him? Nesters will feel right at home in this dog bed.
My Final Opinion Of Barksbar Orthopedic Dog Bed
I believe that orthopedic dog beds are a great investment in our dog’s well-being. The Barksbar provides a great dog bed that offers good support for your dog’s joints and bones and if your dog likes to snuggle in a ball when sleeping or have his head over something, this dog bed is going to provide him with all the comfort that he needs.
He might be so comfortable that he doesn’t even come to bed with you at night, but rather stays sleeping on his bed of comfort. You might finally have the comfort in your bed that you have been dreaming about, without your dog crowding you.

This Barksbar dog bed review should show you the pros and cons of this orthopedic dog bed and shows that this dog bed really supports dogs that sleep curled up, dogs who like to nest, dogs who like support under their heads and dogs who like support around them when they sleep.
I do believe that all dogs should have a dog bed to help provide them with some added comfort and a place that is their own. As an added bonus, your floors will stay cleaner if your dog is sleeping in their dog bed instead of on your carpet. My dog has left a racing stripe on my carpet next to my bed just from the oils that are on their fur and skin.
